About the Cook/ Herbalist

Alison is an organic farmer, amateur cook, herbalist, freelance writer and new mama. 

She is obsessed with plants, plant medicine, and the general health of all living things.  She has attended the College of Healing Arts, was an apprentice at the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine and was an intern for Herb Pharm’s Work/Study program.  With her husband, Alex, and baby son, Huckleberry, she helps run Radical Root Farm  in northern Illinois.
